This is one of those cards that was better in my mind's eye when I planned it out in work, but we have a lot on this weekend and I don't have time to go back to the drawing board. I think it will do as a card for a musical friend of DH's.
A2 base embossed with Brick Wall and swiped with Weathered Wood.
I cut Labels 8 & the Sizzix greeting from an old cereal box, and embossed the label with a music ef. Then added strips of foil tape and rubbed it down well, tracing round the letters with an embossing stylus. After that I added black acrylic, rubbed some off and then added some gold.
When dry I added luster rub-ons on the lettering, a bit of Stickles round the edge, and some diecut holly leaves with bead berries. Running low on metallic brads so I used some pearls instead, and after adding it to the base I decided it needed some stitch lines just to define it.

Well, Sabrina, I love the results of your design. You definitely captured the masculine essence, especially love the brick "stucco" contrast with the metal. The holly leaves and berries are the perfect seasonal touch!

Sabrina, this is so cool!! Is that music in the BG. I'm thinking of putting some on mine because it will be a B.D. card for Jordan (grandson), he is in band and plays several instruments...his B.d. is Dec. 9th.
I just love your card with the music? lines in back and putting the metal piece on the brick embossing!!! what a cool idea!
Of course you would do music...you and your DH do stuff with a musical group right? Well, I know your DH sings anyway!
