I needed to make a card today and when I saw the challenge colors were blues I knew right away what I wanted to try. I had seen a beautiful pendant on Pinterest that featured a photo of trees with a pretty blue sky. I made an oversize card with my main panel being a little less than 4x6" in glossy white. I started out sponging from the middle of the piece in the Pool Party then moved outwards with the colors getting darker as I went out. I skipped out on the Smoky Slate. My trees and sentiment are stamped in Stazon Black. I framed my panel in Island Indigo and used a base of Black.
This one will go to my mom whose metastatic breast cancer appears to be rearing its ugly head with suspicious scan results around the place on her spine where the cancer is. When I went downstairs to stamp my son asked if stamping was a coping mechanism for me-"Why yes it is indeed!"

Stamping was my therapy after my mother died, when I wasn't able to play the piano for several months - I totally understand it as coping therapy. What a beautiful card, Gail, the feeling of light in it is gorgeous. Sending prayers and a cyber-hug your way.
