My totally favorite color combination! Thanks Mary for your dive into tropical seas, take your breath away colors. What you see, is not my first attempt. In fact, I was going for an ocean landscape, trying to do the brayer, Timmie kinda of thing. I even tried 4 different stampings/inkings...but none of them were quite the look.
I decided to go with this beautiful woman image from Stamp Francisco. She was inked onto Shimmer White paper with the VersaFine Smokey Gray that was embossed in clear. I began laying on the Twinkling H2O's in four different hues. The base of my card is gray. Looking at her hat, I thought it needed a veil, so out came my snippets of trims...what are the odds I'd have aqua net (wasn't there hairspray named that in the '60's????). I added the mermaid scales sequins along the crown of the hat. A black rhinestone for an earring and constructed a bracelet also. The sheer, shimmery ribbon sits on top, I couldn't resist trimming the edges to mimic the feathers of her hat.
My dessert is the trims (net, sequins, ribbon)
So, this beauty is ready for her night out on the town...gonna paint the town aqua. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a marvelous day.

Oh my gosh, she is a stunner!! I agree with Sandie, this is a masterpiece and thank you for sharing the making of her. What are the chances on living on opposite sides of the world and 2 nights in a row, we are next to each other in the gallery. (your daytime, my night-time). "See" you soon Susan.

What a wild woman. You are right. She would look bare without the veil. Sometimes it's hard to know just what's missing, but you hit right on. I'm so glad you have some time to play lately!
