11.12.13 - The link to Dara's card kept popping up as the wrong card. I tried it a different way and now it seems to work.Better late then never I guess? Hee.
Our QFTD189 this week is Dara (same member name.) She has a terrific gallery and I found lots of inspiration. My card was inspired by today's CAS246 festive decorations picture (green wreath/red+white), as well as Dara's card.
Thanks for looking!
DIRECT to STAMP Coloring: I lightly misted my pine branch stamp, colored w/my watercolor pencils, lightly misted again, then stamped. I used two greens for the pines, three brown/gold shades + a dark umber (a little on the edges) for the pine cone. The sentiment was inked w/Ranger di vintage photo, lightly misted, then colored w/watercolor pencils, lightly misted again, and stamped.

This is so pretty! Direct to paper distressing is one of my favorite techniques.
