Hello friends! I made this card as a class sample, but the colors matched today's color challenge perfectly so I hope you don't mind my sharing it here. I didn't do dessert unless you count the leaves, bow or flower petals which could fly in the breeze! lol!
I used Our Daily Bread design's Poinsettia Wreath, the Custom Poinsettia Wreath Die, as well as Cardinal Ornament (sentiment) and Poinsettia Background. This card is pretty CAS but I love how it came out. I stamped the Poinsettia background with two shades of T Holtz Distress Ink, one of which was an olive and one a bit darker that I just rocked it in for contrast. I cut a mat for that layer from red SU! card stock which I die cut on the bottom with a Spellbinders A2 Bracket Border. The image itself is stamped with Memento and colored with Copics, and the two main colors I used were a real red color, and a coral color. I cut out the wreath, bow and extra poinsettia with the ODBD custom Poinsettia Wreath die. The one extra poinsettia that I die cut, was colored and popped up on the wreath. The card base is vanilla and the sentiment is stamped with SU! ink.
I just got back from vacation and am trying to catch up but when I saw the colors I had to join in! Thanks so much for looking! Back later to view and comment!
