Kathleen (KathleenLammie) asked us to make a card honoring our elders with the options of making it vintage and using gold.
My card is to honor my Godmother who taught me courage, made me feel significant, and taught me as much about domestic things (cooking, sewing, etc.) as my dear Mom.
The sentiment is computer generated and is the kind of thing that she would have said.
Elsie lived in this fantastic old house with lots of rooms, wonderful woodwork, floral wallpaper, and ornate oval gold frames for her family photos. Spending time at her home, helping feed the goats, pick raspberries and just talking were the best times of my childhood. I miss her so!

Oh, I know exactly the sort of frames you mean. We had a ton of them round the house when I was growing up, from my grandmother's house. In fact, the portrait I have of my grandmother is in one - but it needs a repair job. I loved your story, very moving.
