This is for Lisa's HYCCT Challenge to make a mixed media card. Mine uses ink, chalk ink, shimmer paint, and glitter pen as well as some pencil. I started with a leftover stamped on sheet from the stamp kissing challenge so my canvas textured leaves and the top stamping are from that. I stamped my bird in Soft Suede then added shimmer paint mixed with alcohol to the body. That ended up pulling some of the color away as I removed most of the paint. I added pencil lines and then painted a bit more Suede onto the bird. I used chalk ink in blues and greens to add to the bg. I added my chipboard birdcage and tied linen thread to this. I punched 4 hearts and glued the ends of the thread between them. The sentiment is inked with markers to omit the rest of the Scripture verse since it was for the HYCCT challenges. It is really hard to see in the picture, but I added a lot of clear star glitter pen highlights on the cage, bird, hearts and leaves. I also sponged a bit of pink and then spattered with pink using my Rose Red marker on acetate and picking up the ink with a wet brush.

VERY pretty! The dimension of the birdcage is so fabby as are the dangling hearts. I really love the sentiment, too. So perfect. So glad you played along in my challenge.
