This is my card for the HYCCT1323 challenge Impossible Things Happen - to make a card inspired by a fairy tale. I chose The Steadfast Tin Soldier. You can read an abbreviated version here if you want, but at the end of the story the tin soldier melts in a fire into the shape of a heart.
I cut a piece of black cs to the same size as the card base and adhered it the damask patterned vellum with spray adhesive. This layer is attached to the card base with Scor-tape. I matched up the pattern on another piece of vellum, stamped and embossed the sentiment and adhered that to white cs. I cut it with a Sizzix label die and adhered it to a piece of black foil paper. This layer was attached to the card front with Scor-tape, matching up the pattern, and the pink rhinestone flourish added. The heart was cut out of black cs. crumpled up, straightened out and rubbed with the VersaMark pad. I heat embossed using Aged Black ep, which has some fine silver and slightly chunky gold mixed with the black. When it cooled I rubbed it with the VersaMark pad again and embossed with clear ep.
This was hard to get a decent picture of, the camera didn't know which shine to focus on!
As always, thanks for looking!

Incredibly beautiful! That heart intrigues me with all the texture and pattern in it. How do you come up with these things. I look forward to seeing your work since you are able to create so many unique and gorgeous designs! I love that hint of pink in the black and white design!
