I'm very late completing my card for Cheryl's reign as Queen for the Day QFTD180, but I wanted to let this wonderful stamper know how much I appreciate her friendship. I was inspired by this beautiful creation in Cheryl's gallery.
I love the sentiment and have two very dear friends who will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary soon. I thought the gold was very befitting a queen as well. So I changed things up a bit. I started with SU's very vanilla card stock as my card base. The second mat is dry embossed using Anna Griffin's (Poppy) EF from Cuttlebug. I also changed my frames and used Spellbinders Beaded Oval and Victorian Oval made for Flourishes. I stamped the sentiment which is from ODBD's on the Victorian Oval and finished the piece with some champagne flat gems and seam binding ribbon. I also used Spellbinders border die as did Cheryl.
Congratulations Cheryl, in my book you're queen for the day - everyday!
Blessings and thanks for stopping by.

Susie, to ponder on this sentiment fills my heart! Your design is g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s! And that border, delish! Hugs to you my friend!

what is the color card stock you used for the stamped and embossed layer? It looks like it could be SU's brushed gold, or crumb cake, please let me know. This is just beautiful, I love it! Thank you so much.
