I sponged they yellow across the sky then masked the sun & horizon, sponged more yellow over and the blue for the sky. Switching the horizon mask to cover the sky, I then sponged the water, leaving the yellow 'reflection' alone, adding a slightly deeper blue at the top and bottom of the water.
Removed the masks, stamp the birds in the tree in black ink.
TIP: Use a black marker to fill in any bits that didnt stamp properly.
Stamp the birds in blue on acetate, flip over & carefully lining up the tree, press down for a slight reflective image. Use a marker & white gel pen to create ripples around the tree.
Trim off a skinny strip from the bottom of the panel, layer over the lower water section. Stamp greeting just above it. Mat with black card, layer onto cream card, tie twine around & over the skinny strip.
For the Central Theme of time: Its cyclone time of the year here, so that means floods...this reminds me of the massive floods we have experienced here over the last couple of years.
Also for the CAS pets challenge (birds are pets) & Color combo of yellows and blue, this is the closest I could come to with what I have. Special thanks to Michelle Zindorf for her marvellous tutorials, they've helped me learn so much.

This is jaw dropping beautiful! You even managed to get the sun's reflection in the water. The ripples in the water around the tree are so well done as is your sponging. I am in awe! Thanks for all the details you wrote too!

Wow, this is so beautiful! Great tip about using a black marker to fill in any bits that didn't stamp properly - never thought to do that. Popped your card into my favourites :-)
