This is my card for the HYCCT1315A challenge Bursting With Hope - to create cards for this challenge using a starburst design. Your starburst should be created from either cardstock or patterned paper, and NOT be a stamped image.
This is the first time I've done this technique - following the tutorials made it fairly straightforward. I chose my papers, cut my pieces and sponge the edges with Frayed Burlap. After creating the burst, I embossed the bottom with the Anna Griffin Aviary border folder and sponged over the raised areas. I added color by applying dust from soft pastels with a q-tip. I sponged the edges of the panel and added the crocheted lace.
The sentiment was stamped with VersaMark and embossed with MS Antique Gold ep. I glued the strip to another piece of cs for more stability and die cut the label. I edged the top and bottom edges with gold ink and attached it with foam tape. The ribbon was threaded through the holes and adhered to the back of the panel. I cut a piece of craft foam to size and it adhered to the back of the focal panel with Sookwang tape (Scor-tape).
The front of the card base was covered with matching/coordinating papers and the focal panel adhered using Sookwang tape.
This was a great challenge and I had fun designing the card. I just love how it turned out!
As always, thanks for looking!

I love the luxurious colors you chose for this! These are my personal favorites and that red is so hard to find! What an impact it has. The gold embossing adds to the wonderful, vintage elegance of this!
