I created this for pattyb's HYCCT challenge to use PINK, GREEN, YELLOW with a touch of shimmer. Looks like an easy card doesn't it?
Here's my story...
I stamped the panel using MFT's Pretty Pocket stamps and had a great time with that. I added the center flower and thought I was done. NEVER clean your work space with the card sitting on the desk, is my advice! I picked up the MS stacking inks and wouldn't you know it the bottom fell off and the ink pad landed in the lower corner of the stamped panel. (dark blue) Now in hindsight it would have been faster to just stamp another panel but oh no, I decided to rescue my work and tried a ribbon, nope, not wide enough. Finally I hit upon turning the panel upside down so that the smudge was now at the top and adding a dragonfly with a touch of SHIMMER! I added another flower too! Phew that's a long story, should be the end right? Nope, When I went to edit it I realized it wasn't right. I had a green base with a yellow embossed BG and it was just screaming "This does not work" so I took off my panel and placed it on a white base and that's the story of a ridiculously easy looking card that kept me up until 1:30am!

Somehow, I know exactly what you mean!! LOL. It turned out really nice though and the dragonfly adds the touch and I love the way the eye travels with this.

I had to chuckle at your story since I thought I was the only one who made perpetual messes when the card is at least 75% done! How frustrating. These things never, ever happen in the first 10 minutes. I haven't figured out why yet.
I love the soft pastels on your card and the wonderful background you stamped! In spite of the mishaps this is such a pretty card! I love the way you covered up the blue ink with the dragonfly.
