This week our cards are headed off to 4 year old Isabella, who has been diagnosed with cancer. Sweet Isabella, will be undergoing a weekly treatment for 2 years. This is not what a 4 year old should be doing!
This week there is a party scheduled for Bella and all the young girls in town. Only problem, there's just no dazzle, bling, eye candy. The Teapotters have been assigned with the task to bring on the bling!
Well, being a girl myself, I remember the wonderful dresses my Mom and Grandmother would make for me. I have this one photo of me at about the same age of Bella, I'm wearing this beautiful pink dress that has a wonderful crinoline beneath the skirt, and I'm just beaming. So..., I decided to bring a party dress for Miss Isabella, aka Princess Bella! Handmade and sewn with the love that my Mom and Grandmother put into each outfit! Princess Bella is going to be the belle of the ball. And of course we all know that Bella is the word for Beautiful in Italian! Now every girl needs a little frou frou to go along with her party dress, so I made the pretty pink ruffle scarf that's with the card, for Isabella. She can play like she's a big girl. Maybe I'll give it a spritz of Chanel No. 5, to really give her that big girl feeling.
My card for Jessica (her Mom) will follow tomorrow when I can get a photo, I just finished it this evening.
To make this dress, I copied the pattern and enlarged it to 125%. The lace was the perfect size for this dress, as is the narrow gros grain ribbon.
Though there isn't much bling on this card or dress, Princess Bella will be beaming, and that's plenty of bling!

Loved your stories, and smiled to think of the dresses my mom made for her three lil girls too. Love-love-love your embroidery, purely divine. And your scarf will be such a blessing! She will feel like a Princess wearing it! Thank you for sharing your talent, skills and heart. You are the best! (((hugs)))
