There's not much I could think for the Ways to Use It challenge: to use the first letter of your Username...not much starts with "F"...friend, fruit? And then I thought of felt. We are also asked what our Username represents...mine is obvious: before I'm finished one card, I'm planning the next, and so my workspace reflects that harried & untidy frenzy!
This was published in Australian Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine recently, and as it was ground-breaking for me, not having anything to do with felt until this feature, I'm also putting this in the 'branching out' central theme.
The hand cut heart has hand stitching (I still cant believe I went this far! I never do hand-stitching, too slow for me) around the edges, with buttons, pearls and pearl pen dot to give an 'embroidered & beaded' look. Flowers were die cut & layered.

Oh Cindy! This is just beautiful! I love, love, love the folk art style to your heart. And while the beading may have been tedious, it MAKES the card! Stunning, friend!

Very pretty. Great job, using felt. I love the flower, and, all the beads. The stitching, adds another dimension. Love the oval die. I just love everything about your gorgeous card. Congrats, on the publication in the magazine. tfs.
