This is for the HYCCT1303 challenge Pink terest - to find inspiration from a Pinterest photo. I chose the sunset because the colors are so striking.
I so admire the gorgeous backgrounds that stampers create with a brayer, but I'm not one of those stampers, LOL, so I did my best to create one with Distress Inks, and added some deep blue acrylic paint to the Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet and Festive Berries ink on my craft mat. I didn't get what I was looking for, but the paper was pretty after I got through dragging it around and liberally spraying on Shimmer Spritz. I decided to go with it and die cut the Hero Arts medallion and two ECD butterflies. I stamped the sentiment with VersaMark and heat embossed with white ep. The butterfly overlays were cut from vellum and given a spritz, too. All of this and some other elements became a card that I later decided I disliked immensely. I deconstructed it and placed just these elements on a card base that had also been misted with Shimmer Spritz.
As always, thanks for looking!

I love subtle background and yours is gorgeous! Just a hint of color but not overbearing! It is so perfect for the medallion, butterfly and sentiments. I always look forward to seeing your wonderful, original cards and learning one more technique too!

Oh my goodness, what stunner - I love how clean this is, and the paper you created is so unique and beautiful. The vellum butterfly layered over it makes a gorgeous effect!
