I decided to use bright blue, the color of colon cancer. We lost our dear sister-in-law to this disease in August. Her struggles started with colon cancer and spread to the rest of her body. Some of you may remember she was the recipient of a Teapotter card shower in March of this year. She had those cards on display in her home and looked at them every day and shared them with everyone who came to visit her. So I know the happiness our cards can bring to people. I used the long retired SU color brilliant blue as my large mat and embossed it with the square lattice folder. My image is a two step stamp and I colored the first layer using markers and huffing. I then stamped the other stamp in inks and stamped over the top using my stamp-a-ma-jig. I stamped my sentiment across the base of my flower. I then stamped my butterfly in brilliant blue and colored it with markers and adding some pearls for the spine. I then popped it up on top of my image. My side border is bashful blue punched with the scallop border punch and I added some white lace too. I adhered this to the side of my stamped image. TFL ladies.
