Welcome to World Card Making Day at Flourishes 2013! We thought it would be especially fun and fitting to extend a challenge that has to do with your corner of the Cardmaking World! So, here goes: Create something that represents or is inspired by your state or province. We're leaving the interpretation up to you but you could be inspired by your state or province flower, your slogan, the scenery you'll find there, colors, or your state or provincial flag. Then make sure you describe to us what the connection is! Fun right?

I live in Washington state the largest producer and distributor of apples. The orchard fields are amazing around here along with all the wineries we have. So my choice for this challenge was easy as I choose Apple Of My Eye to play with. My apples are stamped onto Classic White card stock using Memento Tuxedo black ink. Colored with Copic collections: Buttercup, flesh tones 2, green grass and poppy. Once colored I simply scored a border around the panel. Took some Color Made Easy Poppy cardstock and added some textures with the swiss dots embossing folder. Added a paper doily to the base that is layered onto more Classic White card stock. Wrapped some red gingham ribbon and twine bow and voila! Oh I do have a little bit of sparkle on the leaves for fun. :-)
