This week's 52 Christmas Card Countdown is a technique challenge - to use emboss resist. I used it to create the snowy sky and the pine trees with snowflakes on them. I stamped lots of different small snowflakes on plain white cs, embossed it with clear sparkly ep, then split it in two. I masked some hills and sponged one section of it with various blue inks for the sky, and sponged the other section with various greens for the trees. The trees are cut with the new Elizabeth 5 part pine tree die and layered with dimensionals.
It's also for the SCS Christmas Card Challenge of "falling snow".

This is adorable!!! Love your embossed snowflakes with the sponging - perfect technique for this card. Those trees are so sweet - love the layers and dimension from the pop-dots. And there's something about blue and green ... love that combo!

Beautiful card Susan and a wonderful example of the emboss resist technique! I love the blue and green colour combo and the great die cuts, the deckle edge gives a lovely finish! Thanks so much for joining us at 52 {C}CT, please come back soon! Ruth x
