Hi everyone this is my card for Lydia's challenge something on the inside that pops. I chose to make a birthday card.
I stamped the happy banner five times on different DP each time (one for each letter). I then ran some glue across the top of the bakers twine and glued eh separate banners to the twine leaving a little gap between each banner.
While the glue was drying I cut a piece of SU Blushing Bride card stock to the same width of the embossing folder but twice the length, I ran this through my big shot and then folded it in half.
I layed the banner on the card to workout where to put the window then punched this with the SU Circle punch.
I lightly sponged the front of the card with SU Pink Pirouette (because I don't have a Blushing Bride ink pad)
I pierced a hole on the tent fold threaded eh twine through this and tied it off. I then arranged the banner and used dimensionals' cut to size to pop the banner. I stamped Birthday in Tuxedo Black to the side of the banner just outside the window and also put a border across the bottom inside of the card from the same DP stack.
Sounds complicated but it isn't
Hope you enjoy
Thanks for looking
Marg

Okay - I have to know - am I the only person that clicks on cards in the gallery and then my heart skips a beat when I see the awesome closeup view? That's totally what happened when I clicked this - it's brilliant!! The DSP for the banner (which I thought you watercolored) is so beautiful and such a great contrast to the card front. Just a beautiful design!
