Pulled out this old Stampassions stamp the other week when Merry Monday had their red, dark brown and vanilla challenge, but never got a chance to make the card. So better late than never!
My bowl, measuring spoons and the hearts on the gingerbread men were colored with Copic markers. The gingerbread men were colored with Prismacolors and gamsol to give them a more textured (baked) look. Stamped, colored and popped up an extra gingerbread man for the front of the bowl to add some dimension. Following Loll Thompson's great paper piecing tutorial earlier this week, I used my black SU marker along the cut edges to provide a more finished look.
Wanted the feel of the card to be homey and cozy, so picked the SU red gingham paper from my scrap stash and edged it with the brown to pull things all together. Rounded the bottom corners and called it done.

Sweet!!! ... I can almost taste those delicious gingerbread cookies!!! LOVE the red gingham (of course, you knew I would!). Adorable image ... and your coloring is fantastic, as always. Love the popped up man that's fallen out of the bowl!
