This is for FS346 and Curt O'Brien aka indycurt is our featured artist today. Congratulations to you Curt. The very first featured stamper back in 2007 was Kurtis aka krabearkub and it only took 345 more weeks to have another guy featured. I had a wonderful time browsing through your gallery this morning. I was inspired by so many of your cards but finally settled on your Little Corner of the World card found here: Little Corner of the World by indycurt at Splitcoaststampers
Curt's sweet framed village with the tent background inspired me to create a village diorama card. I kept the village theme and similar color combination. I added another couple layers of scenery to create the dimensional scene. I had to go back to the diorama tutorial to familiarize myself again as with the steps. Here's a link to the tutorial: Diorama Card Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers
I changed the dimensions of my project with the outer layers to 8" x 5" and the inner layer to 6.5" x 5". I scored the outer layers at 1.5" and the inner layer at .75". I wanted my layers to be closer together than the original tutorial dimensions made. I used Spellbinder dies to cut my openings instead of punched circles.
Thanks Curt for inspiring me to stretch myself today.

Hey Kittie! I have been a long time admirer of your work and was so honored that you chose to case a card of mine today. And what a wonderful case it is! Nobody does detail and punch work like you! What a great diorama. And thanks too for the history of how long in between guys being chosen as Featured Stamper. That was really interesting and I wondered if any other guy had been chosen. Great stuff. Best, Curt

Kittie, when you do 3-D you go all out! What a sweet village scene! It looks like one of those scenes that a train travels through at Christmas time! Great case of Curt's card~
