I chose this image from Audrie's Pinterest board as my inspiration. I love the cool gray wintery scene with the pop of color from the family walking in the woods.
After I heat embossed the trees with the sparkly Winter Wonderland embossing powder, I used my finger to rub white craft ink onto the ground. I used Basic Gray with a sponge dauber to darken the sky.
