When I saw the colors for today's color challenge, it made me think of the ocean. I bought this set so long ago because "I JUST HAD TO HAVE IT" but it has sat un-inked for at least a year now. I decided it was time to pull it out for today. I watercolored the image, the background papers were done with ink spray and smash technique using the colors for today. I bought some drywall tape this weekend so I was dying to use it. I used Mojo sketch MOJO309. I knew I wanted a little sand dollar. I like the sand dollar from SU set called NATURES WONDERS, but it would have been too big. So I pulled out the stamp and resized it using my computer. I printed it on a paper bag and because I wanted some thickness, I cut out two identical shapes out of a cheerios box. I glued the three layers together. When they were dry I took the edge of my scissors and roughed up the edges to make them look like one piece. I wanted something that would make the panels stand out so I pulled a page from my "H" encyclopedia. It was a little too yellow so I took a white prisma colored pencil and doodled over the page. Oh yes, got my polka dots by embossing and putting chalk on my fingers and rubbing over the dots. This card was inspired by my artist friend Andy. He was in a sidwalk art show this last weekend. For 3 days he used chalk to create a masterpiece. He had just finished it when the rain came and washed it all away. Rather than be upset, he said,"Nothing is permanent so enjoy the moment." This little guy building a sand castle made me think of him. His sandcastle isn't going to last but he is enjoying the moment making it. I

This is amazing, from your fancy stitching, sand dollar made out of paper bag and cereal boxes, to the drywall tape, etc. I could go on and on and on - AMAZING!
