Ever start a card and have it go in a completely different direction from where you started? I couldn't resist the idea of playing along in the color challenge with my favorite-BLUES! The dessert option is to use dots so I thought I would partially stencil some dots onto my white bg. I did an ombre effect starting with the lighter color on the left and working into the middle; well, I lost track of the edge of my stencil with my sponging and ended up with blue on what was supposed to be white space. So, I continued the dots all the way across doing the ombre in reverse to the outer right side. Still didn't like the smear so I added random sponging which was helping, but not as much as I wanted. So, I thought I'd help it along by taking a wet brush and spreading the color around, but I took that a little too far and started wrecking the paper. At this point I decided to emboss in the Manhattan Flower ef, but by mistake I de-bossed. I tried to help this show up better with sponging over the flowers. Now that things were pretty grungy-I just went completely in that direction spattering with water to remove some color and dripping a bit more color along some of the edges. I masked a torn edge and added in the geometric design on the corners then stamped the sentiments. Maybe I'll still go back and make that clean card later, but here's what I ended up with!

I'm not sure which I like best- the story or this beauty!! Too funny but you must be the most patient person in the world to go through all that! And what a lovely card you ended up with in those rich tones! Love all that texture in the background!
