In the midst of summer's dog days, my thoughts turn to the cool relief & beautiful colors of autumn....
The autumn leaf embellishment on this card was made with watercolor paper, re-inkers, UTEE, gold beading wire, and a gold leafing pen. My 2012 embossed enamel autumn leaf can be found in my little gallery. One of the fun things about making these leaves is that each one is completely unique.
See complete how-to here in SCS' Tutorials section.
The text is a line from a short poem I penned about autumn:
"The air is crisp. The sky is clear. The trees are ablaze with color. As the lovely leaves of autumn fall, they dance with one another."
I would have liked to put the entire thing on there, but couldn't get it to fit. I formatted it on my computer and printed on cardstock.

Your card is stunning- I love everything about it! This red leaf reminds me of the small town I grew up near that had towering maple trees that turned scarlet red in the fall... Thanks for sharing. Karen.

What a beautiful leaf! This is one tutorial I want to try. I love the poem. You are so creative to pen an Autumn poem too. I'd love to see the rest of it!
