I have quite a collection of angel stamps so this challenge was easy for me in some regards, the difficulty came in the decision of which angel to use. I've always liked this Stampington image and have used it in the past for Christmas cards. I wanted to make it look like a antique painting so I stamped it in StazOn ink then applied (I used a glue stick over the entire angel) wax paper which I had crumbled up a lot and then smoothed out over the angel and burnished with my bone folder. I sponged black and brown inks over the top to give it a crackled effect. The frame is made with a nestie, acrylic paper, and gold acrylic paint. I sponged black distress ink and copper ink over the top of it to make it look old.

I love the effect you got with the waxed paper and inks, Polly. The off-set frame makes the eye go directly to the angel, and to the sentiment second. Brava!!

This looks like those angels drawn or painted by the great masters. So I think that makes this a masterpiece. Polly!
