This is another take on a Viva La Verve sketch and is also for today's challenge to stamp on designer paper. I always like the look of it when others do it, but don't often remember to do it myself so I'm thankful for the nudge this morning.
This verse is from the passage my husband preached on Sunday and it was very timely as three of our small church's families have had cancer diagnoses in the past week, two of which are recurrences and one of those is probably terminal. Heavy stuff! I've already written two cards this morning and this will go to the third family.
This is a 4 1/4" square card with a textured Soft Suede base. I masked off the edges of my dp and stamped the rope frame in Soft Suede. There is a layer of Houndstooth embossed Island Indigo behind this. My oval is the log book page from The Open Sea stamped on Natural Ivory in Suede and sponged with the same. I tied a series of knots in a piece of twine for an accent on this. The Verve verse is stamped in Island Indigo on Soft Sky and sponged with Indigo. Both these panels are popped. The anchor is stamped in Indigo and die cut with the matching die and sponged with some Suede.

A beautiful uplifting card for someone in need of encouragement, Gail! Love the rope for a frame and the anchors & knotted twine really get to my heart~
