I am running late for the tea party again (does that count as exercise? lol!), but I'm going for that "Better late than never" adage! Since I had that teapot template all ready, I thought that I'll give it another "look": this time with checks, stripes and strawberries.
This card is going to Doreen in Arlington, TX, who is recovering after her 2nd kidney transplant. I am hoping that this card would brighten her day while doctors are making sure that the her body accepts the new kidney.
I used my Cricut with SCAL (works the same way as the Silhouette Cameo SD) to cut out the strawberries, while the strawberry tops are cut-apart leaves from the MS punch. The sentiment was printed using CommercialScrT font. I was afraid of the ribbon coming off while in the mail, so I hot-glued it onto the card front, the rest were adhered using foam tape and Scotch Quick-Dry adhesive.

Oh gosh, what a perfect card - both the wonderful teapot and the sentiment. And of course red, black and white is always a winning colour combination.
I like your idea of using a leaf punch for the strawberry calyx. I usually use a daisy punch but it takes a little trimming.
