I live in a Sunburnt country. Heatwaves are 2nd nature in Australia, & when it gets that hot, you can see the heat emanating off the earth…scary hot - I tried to capture this here. And when it gets like that, it’s time to retire to the air-conditioned craft cave!
I sponged distress inks on the background watercolour card & spritzed with water. Dry & stamp silhouettes. Add glossy accents to dragonfly and wildflower heads.
Dry emboss 2 white frames (Stampin’ Up! Designer frames), trim around the frame & then trim the centres out; layer together for a thicker frame. Layer frame over the watercolour wildflowers.
Use sticky notes to mask a panel on the base card, then stamp ‘thanks’ repeatedly across in black ink. I added twine to disguise a bit of a gap in the stamped lines. Layer the framed wildflowers on top with foam tape.
This design is also inspired by Harriet’s gallery – several of her cards cleverly featured a simple square like this one: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...0&ppuser=18530
Love Harriets gallery!
