Did not have time to play yesterday, but could not wait to create with a new toy. I had just bought a template that has "cracks". Perfect timing. I got out my gelli plate, and added both olive green and blue acrylic paint and placed my template over it to give the "cracked" look. Hope you can see it in the upload. I then added "faux" stitching on the side of the cracked panel.
The verse on the inside says "A rough year past, A better one coming." I thought this image fit the verse perfectly - LOL.
Thanks so much for taking a closer look. Hope you like it

Great card! I actually had that template in my hand on Friday and put it back on the display. It looks really cool on your piece, may have to re-think that one, lol.
Your faux stitching looks incredible - I had to zoom in on it to tell it wasn't sewn. Love the colors, too!

What an amazing image and your coloring is fab!!! Went back and read your description again - I could not believe your stitching wasn't actually sewn!!! You are the master of faux stitching! Love your crackle panel - love your card!!!

If that stitching is faux you sure would have fooled me! Love your cracked background! Your work with the gelli plate sure does give some fabulous results. Wonderful work with that image and sentiment combined!

Ooh another nudge for me toward getting a gelli-plate. I'm easily nudged, so this project gave me quite a shove! I love this card, and it applies to my year all too well. Thanks so much for playing along with my challenge!
