todays challenge called for getting inspiration from a site called Winter Water Factory...there sure were a lot of wonderful items to use as inspiration. I finally chose this pinwheel dress poppies grey & yellow ...I did google to see if there were yellow poppies because I had never heard of them but I did find, yellow, orange and white ones as well as red...
Thanks for taking a peek... Hope you like it....

Your research project sounds like me -- always the skeptic!!! We actually used the same dress for our inspiration. I love your poppies and the background paper. The added butterfly gives a bit of whimsy to your very pretty card.

Beautiful, Marie-alice. I love your added sparkly butterfly.
Yep, I've seen, and grown, poppies in all sorts of colours and the yellow ones are lovely. There are also horned poppies that grow along coastal areas which are always yellow, and that's what your card reminds me of.

Marie-Alice, your card is beautiful. Love the yellow poppies and how you have colored them. The gray makes a terrific accent color....and what a pretty color combo.

I actually bought some yellow poppies this year and they bloomed - sort of. I do have an antique poppy painting on my wall though, so I figured they existed somewhere. Your coloring is beautifu. and makes them come alive.
