Susan Hayward plays the role of singer and actress, Jane Froman, who was crippled in an airplane crash in 1943. She entertained the troops despite her injuries even though she was crutches. This is a beautiful song and wonderful movie.
~ With a Song in My Heart ~
My card has no layers other than the one it is stamped on. It's popped up with 3M tape on an A2 card base and will fit in an envelope.
I stamped Rose Oval by Sweet Stamps twice, and cut one for a mask. After stamping the image on the card base, I masked the image and stamped the music using Heartfelt Creations HCPC 3433 - Book Frame 1
I colored with Copics, and Prisma Color Pencil. I also used some SU Blush Blossom and Barely Banana to soften around the oval. Since I chose a song from the 40's I wanted the card to have a vintage feel to it.

Susie, this is beautiful! Amazingly, I was singing this recently and couldn't remember the story! Cool! What a beautiful card, and I love the softly colored roses!

Oh I love your card! Good thing you put a butterfly on it. I did the same as you as far as thinking of my favorite song, but then I noticed all the cards had butterflies and I re-read the challenge. Now if I could only get my image small enough to upload. I love your music stamp and the colors of the flowers!
Very nicely done!

I love the composition of this lovely inspired piece! The colors are just beautiful against that music background. Your soft sponging around the outside gives it such a romantic feel! A fav for sure...
