This is for Beate's DTGD Challenge and Korin gave us a great sketch for the sketch challenge today. I modified it a bit using a circle instead of square to fit my sentiment and goofed up the back panel layout a bit (I should always print the sketch!!!) I didn't want to waste a bit of the bg piece that I'd created though....it was a bit labor/time intensive, but it is a fun technique. I embossed a piece of Natural Ivory with M-Bossabilities Asian ef. I then painted Adirondak Cloudy Blue paint over it. After it dried, I sand off the paint from the raised areas and sponged on some Suede. The Scripture verse is embossed in Early Espresso ep and die cut/embossed with Nestabilities Circle die and sponged as well. I die cut a bare tree with an IO die and cut off some of the branches. The flowers are tiny pieces of waste from punching the Lacy Ribbon border punch. I used a stylus to indent the centers and added tiny pearls. I wanted a bit of texture on the base so I used the Distressed Texturz plate on the Soft Suede.

Oh my, this card, is so pretty. I love the bg, and the dogwood branch, with it's little pink flowers. This is a gorgeous color combo, and I love the verse. tfs.
