I have worked the last few days, just catching up with the Inspirations Challenge 398 where we are to be inspired by something at Persona Jewelry. These types of charms and beads are right up my daughters alley - what fun looking at the different pieces. I settled on this for my inspiration.
This is the inside of my card it is 3-D and the pattern is from Robert Subuda. He is an illustrator of childrens pop up books.
I just couldn't pass this fella up when I saw the lion charm. Instead of cutting him by hand I was able to use my Silhouette to cut the five main pieces, I used a colored cardstock so I could color some of his mane and give him a little more realistic look. He is going to be used as a Birthday card.....still getting him finished.

M-e-r-c-y Kush! Girl, you worked that Sabuda. Love-love-love your interpretation, and the wonderful, fun colors. Outstanding, and pinned of course! Lymi

Yikes, Kush, you really did an EXCELLENT job on Simba - I think I heard a ROAR when I opened the link to your card!! These pop ups of Robert's are nothing short of amazing, and thanks to your patience, we get to see one up close and personal. Thanks for sharing his website too - will be checking this out for sure!
