My Mum's finally bought a Cuttlebug, so this is a 2nd card featuring her new flower die to help her see variety of ways to use it. 4 die cut layers, stamped with script, petals edged with a marker, then scrunched up & lightly spritzed with water. Carefully unfolding it, I then bought all the petals in together, and sat them, propped up inside a washi tape roll to dry. After drying I layered them together & added a vintage metal button to the centre.
For inspiration on the card, I chose this fabulous cake from the Pastry Studio: http://www.thepastrystudio.com/Chris...rs/rachel.html
The background was dry embossed. The greeting was stamped on a narrow strip...then I used a scorbug repeatedly on the very edge to create the teeny almost scalloped edge...then single rows further in.
Also for the Central theme: duets - flowers and congratulations go together!

That shabby chic flower is just so beautiful, making for a perfectly elegant CAS card. Great for the WT, and while I haven't checked the actual cake that inspired you, I know you've captured the clean style of so many of those cakes I saw on Saturday. I hope your mother gets years of fun from her Cuttlebug.
