Sabrina asked us to use metal on our cards today.
At first I was going to make a card that looked like a treasure chest...but then I decided to try to make a treasure box instead.
I think that metal embellie might be a door knocker, but today it will be the lock for my treasure box. I didn't use a template, just looked at some photos I saw online and tried to figure it out. My Scor-Pal came in VERY handy!
On the inside, I used a scrap of silk and filled the box with all my vintage buttons and a bunch of loose gems (no adhesive) that I got from Irene, thank you Irene!!! Oh, and I had a broken gold chain I threw in there too. So when you open it up, it does look like pirate booty
Very fun challenge Sabrina!

Oh my word, Kathleen! You are just way too clever for me! How can anyone compete with this? You found an awesome piece of hardware to use for a lock and you stuck some hardware and jewels inside this pirate's treasure chest! This is so cool~

Wowza, Kathleen, you really aced this challenge! That treasure chest looks totally amazing, and that you did this totally free-style is very impressive. Scoring has certainly made it look so realistic, and it must be so fun to open and see all that "treasure" inside.
