I got this lovely image of a Renaissance Woman as a free stamp with an order from Stampers Best recently, and fell in love with her. I immediately had to honor her with a card so I put this one together using some leftovers I had sitting around (the gold music-embossed piece and the flower-embossed vellum) as well as some things I recently bought and haven't used yet. That beautiful BG pattern is IO's Cover-A-Card in Ornate Floral, and the top horizontal strip is a CAC in Harlequin, stamped on some Parchment Cover paper I recently got from Marco's. I used my new Floral Ovals Nesties for the Aqua Mist frame for the woman, and my new Exquisite Circles (the smallest one in the set) for the little embellishment at the bottom. And may I just say, in terms of that lovely little Exquisite Circle, that it is brought to you courtesy of the folks at Reynolds and their excellent wax paper. I am finding as I buy more intricate Nesties that wax paper makes all the difference between tears and joy. (Which you all already knew, of course - I seem to be eternally late to the party in these matters.)
Fun to make a card that wasn't either for a challenge or for some particular occasion - I forget how nice it is to work without a deadline.
Thanks for looking!
