A birthday card for a former colleague .....we worked many midnight shifts together. She is of Dutch heritage, as am I. This is a cool embossing folder I picked up a few weeks ago. I watercoloured the scene, sponged around the edges and mounted it on a card base.

Reminds me of the Keukenhof Gardens. My paternal grandfather was from Arnhem, Netherlands. He came to the United States with his entire family when he was a young man and settled in Washington State. Your card is lovely, soft, and I'm sure will be cherished by your friend. It looks like you embossed first, and then colored - yes? Very nice.

I have been busy lately so havent seen many galleries for a hwuile and wanted to ty for the cute comment on my princess card and check out some of yours too, and this neat new EF caught my eye...Can see why you picked it up...what a darling scene...love how you kept it soft...your friend will love this...TFS..:0)
