This past week's WT434 challenge was a great one! I love seeing all the state flowers in the gallery. Here in Ontario, Canada, the provincial flower is a trillium. The pretty white flowers bloom in the woodlands in the early spring. There are not as many as there used to be, as many people dug them up, but now they are more protected. some friends an I happened upon a large group of them on a little hike at the Rouge River campground in Toronto this spring. Sorry for the p0oor quality photo. I made the card on Thursday, and then discovered I had left my camera at my daughter's house, so I scanned the card before I mailed it out to a man who had a heart attack during a heart procedure last week. I had no trillium stamps, so I drew the flower and leaves by hand and cut them out and sponged the edges of the flower with green ink. The background was a trial piece for MIX22 ....to use a credit card to spread around acrylic paint.

Nice card, I love the Trillium, there is a type, that grows wild here in WV. We only see them in the mountains, where we camp, and hike, usually in early may. They grow in pink , white, and pale yellow. The trillium , that you drew, looks just like what grows here. great job with the drawing. Your card, is very pretty. tfs.

Yay - this is one I knew, thanks to my mother having lived in ON for a good number of years. I've seen them in a couple of gardens here but I don't think our climate is ideal for them. You did beautifully creating a lovely flower without stamps, Ina.
