I was so taken with the beautiful muted soft colors and the sweet cartoony outdoor scene on the wallet that I just had to try to recreate something like it. I knew the only way to get such soft colors on my background layer was to watercolor on watercolor paper with reinkers mixed with water. I wanted everything in my scene to be as muted as the background so that led me to watercolor small pieces of paper in each color that I wanted to use for all of my foliage, flowers, butterflies and bunnies. This was really a labor of love because it took me quite a bit of time to color each paper and heat dry it enough to cut with my dies. When I got all of my pieces cut out I knew I had to frame it so that the frame blended right into the scene thus one more large watercolored piece of paper. My whole work area looks like a big rainbow smashed into it. LOL!

wow Kittie, what a gorgeous, gorgeous card... Love all the layering of the grasses and flowers... what a tedious job to make all those gorgeous flowers, but I know you love doing that....also love the little bunnies...great take on your inspiration... this would make a lovely Easter card... love it...
