A get well card for a friend that was inspired by the Mix-Ability challenge, Brilliant Pastels. On this card I used some bright dp (it was the same as the scallops are) and applied Gesso, a bit too heavy so wadded it up to throw away, then decided to sand it and see how that looked, and I kinda liked that! So used it instead of throwing it away, lol!

What an inspired idea, to sand the paper! It turned out so great! And I love it against that dotted embossed piece at the bottom!

Awesome!!! Isn't it fabulous when we rescue something we thought should go in the trash. I have done it so many times. How sad it would have been if your panel would have ended up in the trash. It looks perfect on this card! The plastic zipper is Adorable!!!! Great card!

So fun and bright. Using the same designer paper and applying gesso is a great idea. It stays in the same color family, but has a pastel look. Fantastic!

Zipper doodad! LOL Cat, your work is fantastic, even when rescued from the trash. I have a hard time with that shiny finish but you've given me a clever option. Love it!
