What with holidays and weddings and computer problems it's been way too long since I had a chance to enjoy the inspiration challenge! I just loved the melamine plates that Stef posted as the first thumb, but it was this Botany Pillow which inspired my card. I thought that the coloured blossom against the uncoloured leaves would work well with my HA dogwood stamp.
5 3/4" base. Graphic 45 French Country print layered on Bazzill. I used a Tonic corner punch, and added the trimmed off strips with the reverse side showing and some gold cord.
Image stamped on watercolour paper and coloured with Faded Jeans and a little homemade blue glimmer mist, Squeezed Lemonade for the flower centres. I cut an extra bloom out and shaped it while it was still wet from being coloured, and then decided to add some Mod Podge to give it a contrast with the matt texture. It's glued down in the centre, but the shaped petals are supported with foam dots. It's layered onto a Fleur de Lis square also cut from Graphic 45, and popped up on foam.
