I was going to try to fit one more challenge in on my card today but just couldn't make it work so I had to settle for combining just 3. I used this week's sketch SC441 and this week's way to use it WT432 and today's MIX21. I made the three stacked panels out of one of my watercolored sheets of cardstock.I left one brilliant and covered one with vellum and one with the ribbon. Not quite like using gesso or a liquid medium but I feel like the effect is the same. I have always like this sentiment. I felt like the word BRIGHT in it went along with the MIX challenge.

This is beautiful MariLynn!! I love the bright colors of green and blue!! You did awesome with these three challenges. I don't often do more than one at a time - I don't multi task well. :>)

Love that you used white mats on your gorgeous layers - and all the effects you created with the vellum and ribbon. Fantastic card!

You know, in my samples I used gesso and watered down acrylic paint. You branched out with great results using the vellum and ribbon. I think it's very effective! Thank you for broadening my ideas!

I love that you subbed in vellum - it does the same thing, tones down the colors underneath. Lovely card!

I always love that butterfly, you've coloured it beautifully too.
And I particularly like that even though you could have stitched it, with all the other stitching, you used brads for attaching the vellum .
Great idea to use it to tone down your brilliant pastels, too!
