I wanted to try the technique Ky showed on her mix-ability video. I applied Daffodil Delight and Basic Gray ink to a craft mat and smashed my card stock into it. Then applied a layer of gesso with a sponge brush. Another layer of Summer Starfruit and Basic Gray ink. Too bright... another layer of gesso. Too muddy... another layer of Summer Starfruit and Daffodil Delight ink. Then I dabbed more gesso on with the sponge brush. I ended up with a cool marble look. But what to do with it? I ended up making an simple antique-y looking sky scene with a vintage plane image.
Kitty is working hard, isn't she?

WOW! You took the challenge to a whole new level. Love that marble look. Your clouds, hills and plane are awesome. Must be a glider type plane as it is very quiet so as not to wake up the card holding kittie. Super sweet, btw. Love your card and staging of it. TFS :0)

My cat and yours could be twins!
Great background! Perfect for your airplane, and the patterned paper landscape is cool!
