I've been somewhat MIA this week, with family staying here for an uncle's funeral, and life nowadays just seems to be too busy to play catch-up. But Ky's MIX21 challenge of Brilliant Pastels seemed to tie in well with MMTPT255, since we were told that Karin loves pastels.
5 3/4" white base, ODBD stamped with Versafine Smokey Grey, stitching lines added.
For my quilt I painted some card with my brightest H2Os, and when it was dry, over-painted them with gesso. More drying time, and then I cut the hexagons. Stamped with Doodle This in Smokey Grey, and then Canvas with Frost White. Embossed with D'vine Swirl and sponged the embossing with more white, the edges with green. It's matted onto black, and I added stitching lines to some of the pieces.
But actually, what I fell for was the vibrant colours on the piece of kitchen towel I was wiping my brush on, so I have another card on the way when that dries off a bit . Thanks for such a fun challenge, Ky!!

I can't even imagine how fabulous as luminous the colours are on that kitchen towel. Here's an idea for you. I am presuming that by kitchen towel you mean what we refer to in Canada as paper towel....if so....take 1 or 2 more paper towels and stack them under the coloured one. Drag out the old sewing machine and actually quilt the stack onto cardstock. Or use thin batting.

Sabrina love this style of quilt. Your colors are wonderful. Super sweet and very soothing kind of card. Love it BIG time! Can't wait to see the next one you come up with using your kitchen towel you used for wiping off your brushes. Gonna be cool I'm sure. TFS :0)

Goodness, Sabrina, those H2O's must be brilliant in hue!! LOVE these hexagons in the pastels, and by mounting them on black against the white background, they really stand out! The verse you used from ODBD is spot on, and I think the faux stitching adds so much character to your card - another masterpiece!! Hugs
