The SweetStamps Technique challenge for the month of June is the blackboard technique and they always offer prizes if you wish to check it out. They have a regular weekly challenge with prizes too.
I used Faber Castell – Gelatos to create my colorful background by scribbling them onto watercolor paper and blending with a wet wipe. I then cut out the Arabian Night Frame A2 size in black, cut it to the size of the panel and glued it in place with Aleene’s tacky glue.
Ribbon: three strands tied together with the piece that goes around the panel then using the heat gun/tool from a side angle over the Ranger craft sheet which will deflect the heat will melt evenly forming a crinkled look.
The image was stamped with Brilliance Moonlight White ink and colored using a very old set of Stampin Up Pastels/chalks. To seal the image I used Ranger – Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist. To create the large spots I spray with less pressure trying to stay away from the image but I did get one large spot on the l highest leaf.
The Perfect Layers tools from Perfect Paper Crafting was used to cut borders. 1/16”, 1/8’ and the colorful panel was cut with the 3/8” (top and sides) and ½” (bottom) rulers.
The little tabs were created by punching out ½” squares and cut those in half corner to corner slide on in about 1/16” for each layer and trim off even then tuck under the raised panel and glue in place. Reminisce brads.
Stampin Up oval punches were used for the sentiment panel.
I colored the rubber with markers to stamp the partial image on the insert and envelope.
