This was the stamp I had originally pulled out to use for the current Masculine or Father's Day challenge over at ODBD. Since I had a little free time last night I got a card made with it - and since DH has said twice how much he likes it, I think I fulfilled the terms of the challenge. Only thing is he would like the lighthouse sponged in a soft cream, whereas I carefully masked it off to keep it white.
A2 base, inked with black and embossed with black EP.
Image stamped on white card with Versafine Black and embossed with clear. I masked the lighthouse and house and sponged the rest with distress inks. Since I just pulled sponges from my basket, I'm not sure what they all were. I stamped the compass rose again, sponged it with Old Paper and added three layers of UTEE, which is hard to see in the photo. It's matted on black, with distressed edges.
For the main layer I made a wrinkle-free distress piece with mustard seed, tumbled glass and peeled paint. This was embossed with Darice Plaid, and then sponged with Tea Dye and Fired Brick.

Oh how beautiful! That soft sponging in your background is fabulous and highlights your lighthouse so well! Someday I will get the hang of sponging with mixed colors since I love this effect!
