This was a special request for a graduation card. The school colors are crimson and gold. I made this as a gate card and then the gate wouldnÂ’t stay shut so I had to come up with something to latch it with. Hence the little image of the bronco. The school mascot is a bronco. This bronco image was taken from their school website (cut with Spellbinder die) and my solution to closing the gate. I am hoping just the touch of red behind the bronco will suffice. It is hard to see but the actual card base itself is black and I built my layers from there. Both of the grad hats (and numbers) were down loaded SVGs and cut on the Cricut. The one on the front of the card I cut three times and glued together for added dimension. I was sick to death of this card by the time it was finished because I redid parts of it so many times.
Brenda (Tessaduck) was so kind to offer to send me some things when I had asked her for some dimensions on a "fun fold " card she had made and posted. My attempts at the fun fold weren't fun and turned out really bad and the P.O. let us down and didn't deliver what she sent until after the card was due. SO I made a gate card instead.

This is one of my favorite grad cards I've seen. Keep telling us about your card making trials and tribulations and maybe we'll believe you! The gold and black are stunning and the touch of crimson closure is just perfect.

This is a fantastic grad card. Love the colors ... and the little bit of red is a nice addition. I can never get the gate fold to close for me either, so I just stick with regular fold cards It doesn't look like you struggled with this ... it's just perfect.

I don't know why....but I get a hugh kick out of T&T stories....must be my dark side.....lol.....also good to be reminded that it's not just me!! Your card was totally worth the effort, my friend...I love your little stallion....cool idea to take it from the website. I'm gong to a grad party on the 22nd....I might steal your idea and go and have a look at their website! TFS!!

Peggy, It's nice to know that I am not alone with the trials and tribulations! But your perseverance has paid off majestically! The thing about trials and tribulations, you learn (hopefully) what not to do in the future.
I hope the graduate appreciates this one of a kind card!

I am having a good chuckle reading this, I have a draw full of folded cards that just didn't quite work, I can certainly relate to what you are saying LOL. This card is terrific Peggy.
