I needed to make a card for the birthday of a friend who is a musician and piano teacher. Perfect for this challenge!
Crafty Ann Flourish 2 (cut twice and glued together slightly off to create a backing))
Spellbinder Bitty Blossoms
Spellbinder Matting Basics (for sentiment)
Rubbernecker sentiment
Stampendous music background
Cheery Lynn Latticework die
Joy Craft Butterfly
SU black card stock
Ivory linen cardstoc
Black brilliants
Sometimes you make a card and it just makes your heart sing...(no pun intended) I really liked how this card turned out. I will admit it was not my first attempt as the black paper I used was inexpensive and when I went to glue it down it bled all over my project (the back black corner leaf) Originally the piece that is black (behind the latticework) was ivory embossed with a tri dot EF. This is an accident (the black bleeding all over my ivory) that turned out to be a good one as the 2nd attempt was so much better than the first and I learned a valuable lesson about paper.

Wow ... your friend will love this. Beautiful, elegant and so personal with having musical notes on the paper to make the rose and butterfly. As always, your designs are inspiring.

Fabulous!! I love your musical roses and butterfly, but the trellis and the offset foliage spray are fascinating and intriguing. It makes it look as if the foliage has been cut from the white layer.

Beautiful and worth every bit of your efforts, Peggy! This will be a treasured piece for your friend, especially with the music incorporated into the flower and butterfly! Oh the mistakes we make and the lessons we learn...!
This is beautiful! I love the butterfly done in the music notes. I love music note paper. I'm really drawn to it. Love how the die looks cut out but kept in place. Another masterpiece!
