I recently decided to give up on my Copics. I love them when other people use them, but they simply don't work for me....and I've tried....taken classes...seen many great vid tutes online...but they're just not for me.
So....I bought myself a sent of Derwent watercolour pencils and I love them. I love the way you can move the colour around. I coloured this Flourishes sweetpea with Crimson Lake. TFL!

Hi Jo. Love your delicate sweet peas. So pretty ... and perfect cut in an oval and with the swirly embossing. Some days I have fun with Copics, but many times they don't work well for me either. I don't have a lot (37) ... so maybe that is part of the problem, but I can't get the shading that I see other's do so well. I often revert back to my beloved Stampin' Write markers. I do have some watercolor pencils in my studio (they belong to my son) and will have to give them more of a try (have only used them once). Thanks for the inspiration!

I LOVE your watercoloring here! Those sweet peas Rock! (Love that stamp). I am not known (nor will I probably ever be) for my coloring and although I have a few copics they were purchased to color embellishments... how sad is that? SO I am in awe of your coloring ability!!! This is a fav for sure....

Jo, this is beautifully done with your watercolor pencils. I say, whatever works for you. It's great there are so many choices to use so that we can find the right one for ourselves. Your card designs are always PERFECT and lovely....as is this one.

I'm basically a die cut kind of gal and use alcohol pens mostly for highlighting embellishments. I love what you've done here with the pencils - super shading!

I know Jo, sometimes I get the copics right and sometimes I don't. They're so expensive that I don't have all the right combinations either. You've colored your flower beautifully and I love the embossed framing!
